Prepare for labor, birth, and early parenthood with our Childbirth Preparation class. Designed for expectant families, this class offers evidence-based guidance, hands-on activities, and supportive materials to help you feel confident and informed.
Taught by experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Obstetric, Neonatal, and Pediatric care, this class includes engaging presentations, videos, and a virtual tour of the Family Birth Center.
Topics include:
- The stages of labor and birth
- Comfort techniques, breathing, and relaxation strategies
- Pain management options and informed decision-making
- Postpartum recovery and adjusting to parenthood
- Newborn hospital procedures and health screenings
- Newborn characteristics and basic care
We recommend registering early in pregnancy and to complete the class about one month before your due date. Ideally, you should be at least 24 weeks along when starting this class.

Please note that only the weekend series start date is listed. On Friday night the class is 6-9pm and the Saturday class is 9am-4pm (of the same weekend) for a total of two classes.
