Get your questions answered and feel more confident as your birth approaches with Ready, Set, Labor—a discussion-based virtual session led by a Mayo Clinic Family Birth Center Labor & Delivery nurse.

Designed for those in the final weeks of pregnancy who plan to deliver at Mayo Clinic Rochester, this class provides a supportive space to ask questions, clarify expectations, and better understand what to expect when arriving at the Family Birth Center. Discussion is guided by participant questions and may include when to call, what happens in triage and admission, comfort and pain management options, communication with your healthcare team, birth preferences, visitor policies, and how support persons can actively participate during labor and birth.

We recommend registering for a class date that falls after 35 weeks of pregnancy so the information is timely and relevant to your upcoming birth.

This class is intended to complement—not replace—comprehensive childbirth education and is ideal for those seeking additional guidance, reassurance, and connection with experienced Labor & Delivery nurses as they prepare to welcome their baby.
