  • Age-appropriate descriptions about pregnancy and the birthing process.
  • Building confidence and understanding in what it means to be a big sibling.
  • Safety behaviors around the baby:
    • Safe bathing practices
    • Safe-sleep spaces
    • Safety measures with food
    • Creating a safe play/toy area
  • Child(ren) will practice swaddling, diapering, feeding, dressing and holding baby dolls.
  • Understanding mixed feelings, regressive behaviors, or communication difficulties that are common and normal when becoming a big sibling.
  • Child(ren) and parent(s) will learn age-appropriate breathing techniques for when big emotions arise.
  • A special sibling tour of the Mother/Baby unit.

Parent(s) or guardian(s) must attend this class with child(ren). The class cost of $15 is for the family unit.
